I couldn't believe how easy it was using this harness for my Parrot kit!! The service was outstanding. I called and was told that it was 5 minutes till 7 and everyone had already gone home. The lady on the other end said that she would try to get ahold of someone to call me back. I didn't expect someone to call me so quickly. Not only did I get a call back within 10 minutes, he walked over the system over the phone step by step on how to set up and hook everything correctly!! I'm very impressed with the product and the level of service. Thanks again and I'll recommend you to all I know!
HFVT provided outstanding technical support during my install. They even went out of their way and sent me a known working amp and pigtail to help troubleshoot the problem I was having.
If you are installing a Parrot CK3100 with this harness (HF-HON-TH1-AMK-AMP) to an amplified premium audio system on a Honda vehicle. You might run into a problem muting the system during normal operations. You might want to read on.
The problem: I was having a problem muting my system and there was no illumination on the mute LED on the HF AMP interface (included with the HF-HON-TH1-AMK-AMP kit). There was an audible clicking sound generating from the black coffin shaped box on the Parrot harness so I knew the Parrot system was trying to mute.
The solution: After reading the theory of operation and instructions on the Internet. The problem was narrowed down to the muting wires of the Parrot system. They are the yellow wires on the Parrot harness and there are two of them. The Parrot instruction and the wiring diagram does not clearly state what wires to hook up together or to where. There are wires marked Mute 1, 2, & 3. And it just states that "you might have to connect the mute wires..." One of the yellow mute wire is on the Parrot harness with the coffin shaped black box. This wire has a red male terminal/connector. And the other is also a yellow wire with a female terminal/connector on the opposite Parrot wiring harness marked "Mute 2." Just hook these two wire up and your system will work as advertised.
Thanks again HFVT for your assistance. Keep up the good work.
Sincerely,
Ray Go
