This harness is used in conjunctionj with the phone mute switch featured on most 1999 and later model radios. When the harness is installed it will, upon activation by an incoming or outgoing call, automatically mute the radio and play the call through the factory sound system. The word "phone" or "call" will appear on the radio display.
