This HF-FD-AMP-2 harness adapter is designed for newer Mercury vehicles with navigation or mute button on the face of the radio and a few Non-amplified vehicles for the CK3000, CK3100, MK, MKi Series and EGO.

This harness is used in conjunction with the phone mute switch feature on most 1999 and later model radios. When the harness is installed it will, upon activation bu an incoming or outgoing call, automatically mute the radio and play the call through the factory sound system. The words "phone" or "call" will apprear on the radio display.
